Alternatives for the Woodhaven Road/PA 63 Project were initially assessed for feasibility and effectiveness in satisfying the Project Needs. The alternatives that did not meet the identified transportation needs were dismissed from further consideration.
Alternatives were further evaluated for their sensitivity to the environment and to the surrounding community. Alternatives that were considered to have excessive impacts to these resources were dismissed from further evaluation.
In the May 2003 DEIS, five alternatives (including the No Build Alternative) were evaluated for the Woodhaven Road Project. The following links provide descriptions and figures of the proposed alternatives:
Eventually, the alternative that best satisfies the needs of the project while retaining vital resources will be the alternative selected for construction.
